The objective of speech therapy is to improve all aspects of communication. This includes: expression (vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure), comprehension (understanding), articulation (sound production), fluency, voice, and social use of language (pragmatics). It also extends to written communication skills such as reading and writing. A speech therapy program is tailored to the specific strengths and weaknesses of each unique child and individual.

Occupational Therapy

image14

Occupational Therapy is a health service that is concerned with an individual’s ability to participate in desired purposeful activity or “occupations”, which give one’s life meaning. If a person’s ability to perform these daily life tasks, which includes self-help skills, working, going to school, playing, learning and living independently is impacted by an illness, disease and/or disability, occupational therapy can be important.

Our Logo

We found nothing more suiting to represent our clinical philosophy than an Orchid.

An orchid is a fragile flower that requires special care. In an optimal environment and under ideal circumstances this fragile Orchid will bloom into a spectacular flower.  In turn, an Orchid Child is a term used to describe a child at risk who with the right support and encouragement, can be exceptional. At AccessAbilities Therapy clinic, our team is dedicated to providing not only the right environment but the support and encouragement for this Orchid Child and their family, to blossom and become successful.
